simplest of pleasures. Wake up to the melody of tuis, bellbirds, fantail and other
native birds. Experience the balmy evenings in the wonderful grounds surrounded by
virgin native bush and the still waters of the inlet. After dark visit the magic of
the glow worm grotto.

Sheltered waters, awesome wreck dives and established marine
reserves surround Furneaux Lodge and create a unparalleled diver base in the
Marlborough Sounds. The Mikhael Lermontov is the largest wreck in New Zealand waters
and sits in 20m of water a short boat ride from Furneaux Lodge. Since it loss in 1986,
the wreck has preserved well and for the experienced wreck divers is in pristine
condition to delve deep into the ship. Furneaux Lodge can arrange dive charters for
you and has Dive tank filling facilities on site, to ensure you can stay out as long
as you wish. |
